Every year I comb through Vogue, Style Caster, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar to find common trends among the different shows. Here are my  predictions for items that will trend in spring and summer 2019.

In the past I’ve been pretty spot on. I am interested to see if I will  be this year too.

Read on below for my top 3 picks and where to shop on every budget.

marigold Yellow- style caster

Honey Hued Yellow

These rich tones of marigold and honey popped up in several shows. I am predicting this will be a huge color for spring-summer 2019. I love how flattering this hue is on every skin tone. It also is a simple pop of color that can take any outfit to the next level.

patchwork style caster

From Left to Right: Alice + Olivia, Diane Von Furstenberg, Libertine

I will be the first to say this. I do not like this trend. it is not for me. It is the 2017 banker shirt all over again. However, this was a constant on both runway and street style. So, this look is going to be big. I will not be sporting it, but you may be a fan.

white-dress style caster

From Left to Right: Baja East, Brandon Maxwell, Ulla Johnson

The White Dress

From romantic-boho, to classic and clean little white dresses were all the runway rage. I love these textures and details. This Baja East dress is my favorite of the entire week.

Other huge trends that I did not feature are:

-Menswear. Specifically over sized blazers.

– Tired and layered dresses. Romantic and flowy.  Rodarte’s Ready to Wear Spring 2019 was beautiful.

-Puffy sleeves. Yes as in what my mom wore in the 80s.
