FALL FASHION ROUNDUP
What makes fall my favorite season? Besides the crisp air and the occasional pumpkin spice latte, it’s definitely fall fashion. I love the luxurious fabrics, cozy layers upon layers, and beautifully rich, warm colors. So to celebrate this dip in temperature we finally get to enjoy, I’m sharing my favorite basics and trendy pieces that’ll really pump up any fall wardrobe. Happy shopping!
1. Teddy Coats
These fuzzy delights are just everywhere this season and I’m obsessed with this fleece bomber-style jacket from Zara. As soon as I saw this coat on IG, I knew it had to be mine. I’ve tried it on with a bunch of different outfits already and it’s actually a lot more versatile than I originally thought. I’ll be pairing this with everything from high-waisted jeans and tees to leopard print midi skirts. To make a bigger statement, try this similar coat in a bold red. For plus sizes, try this cream longline version.
2. Cashmere sweaters
You can never go wrong with cashmere basics and Everlane has some of the best available on the market right now. At a reasonable $100 price point, this cashmere crop mockneck sweater is seriously luxe. I have this in black, but I’ll be scooping up a couple more colors (there are 13 to choose from!) to pair with a button-up mini skirt and ankle boots for a cool mod look. And I really love throwing this over midi dresses to get more wear out of my summer closet staples. This boyfriend cut sweater from J.Crew looks fab for plus size ladies. I also love this gorgeously soft oversized boyfriend-style cashmere cardigan from Free People.
3. Long-sleeved Bodysuits
I featured this Free People long-sleeved bodysuit in The Barton Edit a few weeks ago and had to order one for myself. This marigold color is so on trend right now and the stretchy ribbed fabric is super flattering and warm. I’ll be pairing this bodysuit with black all season (like I did in the featured photo at the top!) for a high-impact color contrast. Love the color but not the price? Try this Asos version for nearly half price. This grey option is also super cute and versatile.
4. Textured Blazers
This gorgeous Massimo Dutti corduroy blazer is the only item featured still on my wish list instead of in my closet, but I just had to share. It’s another item I found on Insta and it was one of those photos where I legit stopped mid-scroll and was like “whoa, that is stunning!” It’s a bit higher price point than I normally like for a blazer ($250) since I don’t wear them that often, but for a piece this beautiful I might make an exception. I’d pair this with whites, greys, or blacks to really let the deep burgundy shade stand out. Prefer black? Try this And Other Stories corduroy blazer or this velvet option by J.Crew. For plus sizes, try this Land’s End blazer in a fab sapphire shade.
