THE END-OF-SEASON SALE ITEM NOT TO MISS
Spring is just a few weeks away. I cannot wait for warmer weather! Sunny days and slip on mules are right on the horizon. I love scouting new trends ,and planning my spring wardrobe right when March rolls around.
I also like to shop end-of-season sales for investment pieces / closet staples that are a great deal. When I refer to closet staples, I mean an item that is usually timeless, and not the trending item of the moment (sorry textured teddy bear coats). So I look for a classic trench, cashmere sweaters, and for this post a warm high-quality parka.
Why focus this post on a parka? Well finding one that lasts many seasons, has proper insulation (eff these east coast winters), and resists snow/water can be pricey. Snagging one on sale at the end of winter is a great way to add a high-quality piece to your wardrobe while saving some serious cash.
My husband is a photographer, and took these photos while we were out with our kids the other day. It was cold, muddy, but the sun was gorgeous. We took these impromptu photos with my favorite parka EVER.
I picked up this beauty on my trip to Iceland last summer. I highly recommend it. It has kept me warm in these polar vortex temps without issue. I listed a similar coat /thermal crop plus the exact other items I am wearing below.
Original price $798 – On sale for $320
I love the stitch detail, distressed look, and the faux fur lining.
Original price $595 – On sale for $295
A 3-in-1 multi-wear utility coat. Bonus this comes with a down layer. It can be worn as a parka, a lightweight jacket or a warm winter coat.
Original price $300 – On sale for $118
Ralph Lauren makes beautiful coats! It is hard to find one under $200 most seasons. This is a fantastic deal.
Original price $115 – On sale for $88
Full disclosure, I don’t know how great this coat is being from ASOS. It is hit and miss with them. I do love the price, and the detachable faux fur hood is adorable.
Original price $310 – On sale for $125
I chose this one not only for the price, but because it is a little bit different from the status quo. I love the draw string with the boxy mid-length cut.
