As a former makeup artist and someone who used to lust after new seasonal shades of eyeshadows and lipsticks, it’s weird for me to accept that I hardly ever wear full-on makeup anymore. I have been rocking that “no-makeup” makeup look for a couple years, but now it’s minimalist bordering on nonexistent. Obviously COVID is partly to blame. Mask requirements mean I don’t want to wear a full face and sporadic plans mean I rarely have occasion to practice my contour anyway. That said, I am still a blogger and I do still take a lot photos. So when the occasion does call for me to look fierce, I rely on my go-to routine. So in this post, I’m sharing my first video (!) – an easy makeup tutorial for a glowy, but natural vibe.
My eyelash extensions bring a lot to the party already, so I really just focus on making sure my skin looks flawless. I use my ride-or-die faves, Laura Mericer Primer and Tinted Moisturizer, plus a few new items that I’m obsessed with. The RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-up concealer was a random Sephora sample, but after one use, I was totally hooked. Another new fave is the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand. Finding the right contour color is tricky – can’t have it be too ruddy or too dark – but this one is pure glow!
