SUMMER COCKTAIL: WATERMELON SPRITZ

I am just returning from a family trip to Florida. During this trip there were many a cocktails and relaxing beach days. While I was there,  my brother got me onto Tanqueray Rangpur Gin. We created many variations of this drink and this by far is the winner.

What I love about this, is it an easy drink anyone can make. You do not taste the gin, which is dangerous, but oh so good. Also, this drink is not overly sweet,  but has just a  hint of tartness that makes it very refreshing.

Cheers to Summer Cocktails!

To Make:

  1. Muddle 1/2 cup of water melon with a 1/2 tsp of sugar in a tall glass.
  2. Juice 1/2 a lime into the glass and muddle again.
  3. Add crushed ice and mix
  4. Pour 1 part Rangpur (lime) gin to 3 parts tonic water.  I used a typical shot glass to measure this out and double it.
  5. Stir, and add any garnishes such as watermelon slices, cucumber, or lime wedges.
  6. Serve and enjoy
