Consider this my re-introduction to both new and returning fans of the blog. I figured I’d take this opportunity to share a “top 10 things to know about me” post since I love reading them from other bloggers. Some of the fun facts below are quite random, others you might’ve already known from this “Get to know us” post from a while back. Either way, this is just my way of opening up and sharing a little bit more about who I am, what I like, and what’s going on in my life 🙂
10 Things To Know About Me
Marketing is my day job. If I didn’t do that, I’d probably work in politics. A byproduct of living in the DC-area for almost two decades, I think. My ultimate dream job would be to work as a movie producer.
My fandoms include Harry Potter, Twilight, and MCU. “I love you 3000” … I mean, I died. Also, I’m currently listening to the first Harry Potter book via HarryPotterAtHome.com and it’s the best thing ever.
I will always choose a neutral over a loud pattern or color. I gravitate to blacks, browns, tans, and whites, and it’s helped me create a cohesive wardrobe that’s chic and full of pieces I adore.
Coffee, not tea. Wine, not beer. Sparkling water, not still. That is all.
I believe in karma and the importance of sending positive energy into the world. I’m not religious, but would probably consider myself spiritual. I think there’s a particular balance to the universe and we’re all part of a higher energy.
I keep it real and can be brutally honest sometimes. That also means that if I share or recommend something on this site, it comes from a truthful place. I won’t do sponsored content if I can’t stand behind it 100%.
I love baking. Following precise recipes makes my brain happy, but I am trying to become a better cook. It’s so liberating to open the fridge and just throw something together without following a recipe.
I’m an Oregonian through and through. Give me fresh air, Pinot Noir, top notch coffee, and weirdness.
I’m an introverted extrovert. Meeting new people makes me nervous and small talk gives me anxiety. However, once we’re cool I can (and probably will) be a total cheeseball.
Blogging/writing is my creative outlet. I love sharing about the things I’m passionate about – like skincare and food – and am grateful to have my own little space to do that. By the way, I can’t believe 16th and Barton is almost four years old!
